Dr. Peter A. Gold, PSY.D.

MEET DR. GOLD

Dr. Peter A. Gold is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive clinical experience in medical psychology and evidence-based clinical mental health treatment applications. He is currently practicing full time at his Vero Beach office and is also a Medical Staff Member and Psychologist at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, where he maintains professional privileges. In addition, he is a Qualified Supervisor with the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.

He is a former full-time Psychologist and Clinical Faculty Member at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry (2008–2023). He also served as the Postdoctoral Residency Training Supervisor and Medical Student Clerkship Director at the UF Department of Psychiatry, Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Gold maintains professional membership with the American Psychologist Association (APA), the Florida Psychological Association (FPA), the National Register of Health Service Providers, and the University of Florida Alumni Association. Previous memberships include the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) and the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN).

Meet Our Office Manager — Barbara Hearndon

Barbara Hearndon is the Office Manager for Dr. Peter Gold’s practice, bringing over 15 years of experience as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Before joining Dr. Gold’s team, Barbara spent 10 years at the University of Florida’s Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, where she served as a Medical Assistant and TMS Coordinator, supporting patients through complex behavioral health and addiction care.

With her extensive experience in clinical and administrative roles, Barbara combines professionalism with genuine compassion. She is committed to ensuring that the office runs efficiently while creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where every client feels valued and cared for. Her attention to detail and dedication to client experience help make each visit smooth, comfortable, and reassuring.

Originally from Michigan, Barbara moved to Florida in 2005. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her son, who is currently in paramedic school and will become a firefighter upon completion.
